People still dislike these androids and are quick to ostracize them. Crawford Asquith finds one of these mechanical dolls one rainy day, she tells him that her name is Mayple. Mayple wants only to be of use to the people around her. Always keeping a sunny disposition, this is the tale of an android seeking to belong in a world that despises her on principle.
